Less marking math. More teaching.

Percentage correct = (total questions − incorrect questions) ÷ total questions × 100.

Worked example

With 20 equal-value questions and 3 incorrect answers, 17/20 × 100 = 85%.

How to use the easy grader

  1. Enter the number of questions

Any test size up to 500 questions, as long as every question is worth the same.

  2. Enter the number wrong

The percentage appears instantly, along with the full chart for that test size.

  3. Print the chart

Navigation and ad spaces are excluded from print so the table fits cleanly on a page.

When to use this tool

Use this table when every question has the same point value. If questions carry different weights or partial credit, use the points calculator and enter actual earned and possible points instead.

No assumed letter grade

A percentage is not automatically a letter grade. Schools and instructors use different boundaries and rounding policies. Match the result to the explicitly published scale for your course.

Keep a printed reference

The table provides every incorrect count for tests of up to 500 questions. Print the table for quick grading; advertising spaces and navigation are excluded from print output.
