MYGRADEPLAN

Privacy and local storage

Your grades are yours. This page describes exactly what happens to them.

Two separate origins

The public pages (this site) and the calculator (calculator.mygradeplan.com) are separate origins. The public page receives only a validated height message from the calculator so the frame can resize. No grades, labels, targets or course names cross that boundary. If you open a link with numbers after a #, your browser passes those three numbers straight to the calculator frame without sending them to this site’s server.

Saved courses

Saving opens the calculator directly. A one-time, expiring handshake transfers the draft between calculator windows. Records are stored in that origin’s IndexedDB on your device. When you save a course, you can enable automatic saving for later edits. New unsaved drafts are not stored. Export a backup before changing browsers or clearing site data; delete courses from My courses or by clearing site data.

What is never collected

No accounts, no grade uploads, no session replay (the optional “copy a link” button puts only the three numbers you typed into the link, after a # so they never reach a server). The calculator origin loads no third-party scripts of any kind.

Public pages: analytics and advertising

No analytics script runs on the public pages at this time. Advertising placements on the public pages are reserved but not active. Before ads go live, this notice will be updated with the provider, the data it uses and the consent choices available to you.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes ordinary web request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under its own privacy policy.

Earlier saved courses

Courses from an earlier version remain in that origin’s browser storage. The backup recovery page lets you export them for import in the new workspace.
