Worked example
Two 3-credit courses graded A (4.00) and B (3.00): (4.00 + 3.00) × 3 ÷ 6 = 3.50. Add a B+ (3.33) at 4 credits: 12 + 9 + 13.32 = 34.32 ÷ 10 = 3.43.
GPA at Towson: the formula
GPA = total quality points ÷ total credit hours, where each course’s quality points = its grade points (from the table above) × its credit hours. Courses worth more credits move your GPA more.
